RVshare is an important source of information for the RV industry and travelers. Its reports reveal current trends and potential future trends for travelers and businesses. They are currently the “largest online community for RV renters and owners, celebrating more than 4 million nights renters have spent sleeping under the stars in the comfort of an RV.”

RV Travel Expected to Increase in 2025

RVshare recently shared its 2025 Travel Trend Report, and it’s good news all around for the industry. 90% of the Americans surveyed said that they planned to travel just as much as they did last year. At the same time last year, only 86% of respondents said they were planning to travel as much.

What RVshare’s report shows, though, is that people aren’t just looking to travel more. They also want their travel to include more inspiring experiences. It’s not just about traveling a lot anymore. RVers want a higher grade of travel and one that’s inspired more by passion than habit

.

Jon Gray, CEO of RVshare, took the time out to comment that “As we look to 2025 and the future of travel, we understand that quality reigns supreme. Rather than ticking off destinations, this year’s trend report illustrates that Americans are yearning for more intention travel and captivating experiences.”

According to this latest report, travelers think very highly of RV travel. 47% of people said that they preferred an RV over any other type of accommodation during travel. The advantages of RV travel over flying include flexibility, cost, and fees. Not only does an RV allow people to choose their own path more easily, but it also frees up more money for fun things outside of travel expenses.

Of those who answered questions for the RVshare survey, 60% said that they were planning to take an RV in the next year. Favorite destinations included tailgating events, national parks, and “scenic areas.” As for the reason people were traveling, an overwhelming number of people (94%) said they were planning their travel around passions. Passions differed among generations. Boomers wanted “history-based travel,” while Millennials and Gen Z preferred trips focused on things like music and sports.

2025 looks to be a big year for RV travelers. RVshare will be there to help people get the passionate, quality RV travel they’re looking for.
