Jurassic Park The Lost World RV Being Restored
The “Jurassic Park” movie franchise has developed quite the cult following over the years and its featured vehicles have garnered special attention from automotive enthusiasts worldwide. In fact, there are clubs all across the country comprised of fans with their own uniquely built replica “Jurassic Park” jeeps that meet up to share their love of the vehicles. The guys behind The Aficionauto YouTube series just happen to be admirers of these vehicles, so when they recently came across the original RV used in “Jurassic Park: The Lost World,” they decided it would be the perfect restoration project. As expected, the entire process has been documented for their video series and fans can now follow along as the transformation takes place and portion of their beloved franchise is restored.
In Part One of the restoration series, we get a peek at what the RV looks like today. Like many other vehicles used in blockbusters, we learn that it was put out to pasture long ago and has been sitting in the California desert for six years. With no one maintaining the RV, it became completely unusable, displaying substantial damage inside and rat droppings. The slider has also been stuck for years and most of the tires need to be replaced. However, with a little bit of elbow grease, they guys over at Aficionauto hope to get the RV up and running once again and prepped for its owner, who has plans to live in it part-time. Their journey has only begun, but if you want to follow their progress, check out the first video below and then head over to the official Aficionauto YouTube page for others clips.
