Best Places to Take Your RV This Spring
The flowers are finally in bloom and the snow is beginning to melt away across the country, which means spring is officially here! Warm weather is quickly approaching and this means it’s time to pull your RV out of storage and start prepping for your very first spring trip. There are so many beautiful places to travel to during this season and many amazing sights to be seen. To help you narrow down your choices, we’ve comprised a compilation of some of our favorite spring destinations we’d recommend for the avid RVer.
San Diego
The city of San Diego is a beautiful place to explore during the spring. With temperatures hitting the low 70s, the weather is just right for touring the city and checking out many of its finest attractions. The San Diego Zoo is especially great to visit during this time and is considered one of the top zoos in the country. There’s also plenty of historic sites, museums and haunted hotels to discover throughout the course of your stay.
Napa Valley
Napa Valley is a one-of-a-kind, gorgeous destination to visit. During the spring, the mustard plants are in bloom, providing a stunning backdrop that can’t be ignored. You won’t find grapes on the vines during this time, but you will be able to go to some of the best wineries in the area, including Domaine Chandon, Beringer Vineyards, Inglenook Winery, Robert Mondavi and Castello di Amorosa.
Yosemite National Park
If you’ve been wanting to view the world-famous waterfalls in Yosemite National Park, the months of April and May are the best times to do it. They are at their peak during these times and are absolutely breathtaking. In addition to the falls, you can hike Yosemite’s Mist Trail and Four Mile Trail and experience the incredible scenery. The dogwood trees are also great to see in late May as they begin to bloom.
Kenai Fjords National Park
Take a trip to Kenai Fjords National Park in Alaska to witness the whales as they return for the spring. You’re also likely to catch a glimpse of migrating birds, seals and beavers as you take to the open water. Additionally, you can visit the Alaska SeaLife Center, which is made up of the state’s only public aquarium and ocean wildlife rescue center.
