Airstream Made in America
In this day and age, it’s no secret that many leading manufacturers in the U.S. have plants overseas where they create some of their popular products. This tactic is incredibly common in the automotive industry, and with so many brand expanding their operations, it’s hard to find one that still that carries out production solely in the U.S. However, if you turn your focus to the creation of travel trailers, you will find that there is one company that continues to produce vehicles in the U.S. and maintain their American roots, and that company is none other than Airstream.
With over 82 years in business, Airstream is proud to be one of the few companies that still produces all their travel trailers in the U.S. Their Jackson Center plant in Ohio has had its doors open since 1952 and it’s been serving as the main facility for the creation of their trailers ever since. Every single trailer that is produced at the Jackson Center goes through a detailed inspection before it’s released to the public, and if one of its 4,000 rivets is out of place, it’s repaired by hand. Each trailer is also sprayed with a hose for 40 minutes after its production to ensure no water can seep through the rivets, guaranteeing its quality.
To this day, Airstream owners can have their trailers refurbished at the very same facility they were created, the Jackson Center, which reassures owners that they’re vehicles are being handled with care. Airstream has always been dedicated to the craftsmanship of their trailers and they pride themselves on providing high-quality vehicles. If you’re interested in purchasing your own American-made Airstream, we have a wide-selection of models available at Reliable RV.
