RVing on Our Byways

Before embarking on your next adventure, make sure you consider taking your next RV trip on roads less traveled, like our nation’s scenic byways. With more than 150 roadways spread out across the land of the brave and home of the free, these highways are just what your mind, spirit and soul need to escape it all. For the sake of space and time, we’ve included our top two byways below.

Alabama

Lush trees, rivers and lakes surround you as you make your way through the Selma to Montgomery March Byway. The 54-mile stretch kicks off on the streets of Selma and winds through the rolling hills of Lowndes County, eventually taking you to Montgomery – Alabama’s state capital. The journey offers much more than just beautiful scenery too, as Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. held various voting rights demonstrations through these areas in 1965.

Louisiana

The Creole Nature Trail is one of our other favorites. It will take you on an 180-mile journey through marshes, prairies and alongside the Gulf of Mexico. The byway is known for its colorful flowers and birds. And, if you’re feeling up for it, you can even view alligators in their natural habit. Called Louisiana’s Outback, this is one scenic stretch that will surely activate your senses.
