How to Properly Set Up When Arriving at Your Destination
No matter if you’re a seasoned RVer or newbie, there are certain things you’ll always want to keep in mind when arriving at any RV park. See our list below to learn about our top tips on how to properly set up shop once you arrive at your destination.
Just Ask!
Upon arrival, make sure you ask if someone can help guide you to your campsite. This will help you save a great deal of time in looking for your site, especially if this is your first visit. And, no matter how many times you’ve parked an RV, make sure you seek help. This too will help you save time and lower your chances of hitting any branches or running over anything that might damage your RV. Also make sure you position your RV so that your electrical, sewer and water hookups are easy to connect.
Stabilize Your RV
Once you’re positioned in a good spot, apply the parking brake if you have a motorhome. Next, you’ll want to setup blocks or stabilizing jacks to keep your RV securely in place.
Power Up
Connect your power cord into the campsite’s power outlet. When everything is a go, turn on your fridge and AC, unpack your things, and relax!
